Out of pocket costs for essentials like power and healthcare have been going up in recent years, and wage growth has failed to keep pace. The rising cost of essential services can put strain on any household, but for the chronically ill and those who are already under financial pressure the consequences can be severe.

Labor’s renewables plan will put downward pressure on energy prices, and ensure we reduce Australia’s carbon emissions. And by protecting Medicare, we will ensure all Australians have access to affordable, high-quality healthcare.
