Every year I host a free public lecture to showcase some of the ground-breaking work being done by brilliant Australian minds.

I’m excited that this year’s lecture will be given by YouTube maths wizard Eddie Woo, who has attracted hundreds of thousands of subscribers to his entertaining and exploratory online maths lessons. Eddie’s virtuosity in the online medium and his reach into regional areas and earned him a spot in the top-ten finalists for the Global Teacher Prize in 2018. He won Australia’s Local Hero for 2018 as part of the Australian of the Year Awards.

Eddie broadcasts his lessons for free on his WooTube channel, and has also hosted the ABC show Teenage Boss, which gives children a taste of the decision-making involved in managing household finances.

This is a unique opportunity to see one of Australia’s most entertaining and inspiring teachers in his element.
