Labor kicking goals for athletes in Kippax - Media Release

LABOR KICKING GOALS FOR ATHLETES IN KIPPAX

A Shorten Labor Government will  contribute $1 million to the redevelopment of the  Holt District Playing Fields at Kippax.

This funding will go towards upgrades and improvements to the changing rooms to make them inclusive for female players.

This commitment will help boost sporting facilities in the Kippax area and cater for growing demand, especially in West Belconnen.

This funding  will benefit many  local sporting groups, including rugby league, cricket and AFL, as well as the wider Holt and West Belconnen community.

The project will be  developed in consultation with the community and  align with the Kippax Masterplan, supporting up to 20 jobs during construction.

Labor is committed to supporting clubs and communities to improve local sporting facilities to give all Australians a chance to take part in sport, whether they are getting fit or dream of wearing the green and gold.

Our investments in local community sporting clubs and facilities like these help them build capacity to meet the welcome growth in female participation in club sport and support more Australians to live active, healthy lifestyles.

We can invest in a sporting chance for all Australians because Labor has made the tough budget decisions to make multinationals pay their fair share of tax and close tax loopholes used by the top end of town.
